In The Name Of Allah
The Beneficent The Merciful
A Building That Has Served Wrexham for Generations
Originally opened in 1923 as the North Wales Mine Workers Institute, our historic home on Grosvenor Road has served the people of Wrexham for more than a century.
In 2010, the Muslim Association of Wrexham gave the building a new chapter in its story, transforming it into Wrexham Islamic Cultural Centre — a home for worship, learning and community.
Today, WICC continues that tradition of service: bringing people together through prayer, education, youth development, charitable support and community initiatives, while building bridges with the wider Wrexham community.
From serving Wrexham's mining families to serving today's diverse community, the purpose remains remarkably similar — bringing people together and serving those around us.
