Wrexham Mosque Parking Rules – Important Information for All Visitors

To help keep the Wrexham Islamic Cultural Centre car park available for genuine mosque users and to prevent unauthorised parking, new parking regulations are now in force.

We kindly ask everyone visiting the mosque to familiarise themselves with the rules below. If you are staying for more than 15 minutes, you must register your vehicle at one of the terminals inside the mosque.

15-Minute Grace Period

The grace period has been extended from 10 minutes to 15 minutes.

If you are using the car park for 15 minutes or less, for example to drop someone off, pick someone up, make a delivery, or make a very short visit, you do not need to enter your vehicle registration number into the terminal.

Please ensure that you leave the car park within the 15-minute grace period.

Staying Longer Than 15 Minutes

If you are going to remain at the mosque for more than 15 minutes from the time you enter the car park, you MUST register your vehicle registration number using the parking terminal inside the mosque.

You can register your vehicle at any point during your first hour after entering the car park.

Example: If you enter the car park at 1:00pm and register your vehicle at 1:45pm, your permit will cover you from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

This gives you a one-hour parking permit calculated from your original time of entry, not from the time you use the terminal.

Need to Stay Longer Than One Hour?

If you need to remain at the mosque for longer than your first permitted hour, you will need to register your vehicle again during the following hour.

For example, if you arrived at 1:00pm and your first permit covers you until 2:00pm, you can enter your registration again between 2:00pm and 3:00pm to receive an additional one-hour permit.

Please remember to repeat this process for the additional time you need.

Jummah (Friday) Parking

There are special parking arrangements during Jummah.

Every Friday between 12:30pm and 2:30pm, the mosque car park is for registered permit holders only.

Jummah parking permits are intended for those who may have difficulty accessing the mosque from further away, including:

• Elderly members of the community
• Registered disabled visitors
• People with medical conditions that restrict their mobility

If you believe you are eligible for a Jummah parking permit, please email parking@wrexhammosque.org.uk.

Permit holders must also park only in the specified mosque parking areas and follow the marked bays and signage.

Please Park Responsibly

All vehicles must be parked within marked parking bays.

Please do not double park, block another vehicle, obstruct entrances or exits, or park in areas that are not designated for mosque parking.

Keeping access clear is particularly important for elderly and disabled visitors, emergency access, deliveries and the safety of everyone using the mosque.

What If the Parking Terminal Is Not Working?

Occasionally, you may find that the terminal appears to be switched off. In many cases, it simply needs to be switched back on or restarted in the same way as a tablet or mobile device.

There is also another parking terminal upstairs in the ladies’ prayer area.

A terminal appearing to be switched off does not remove the requirement to register your vehicle when staying for more than 15 minutes, so please try the alternative terminal if necessary.

Why Are We Introducing These Rules?

These measures are designed to protect the mosque car park for our congregation, visitors and community users.

Unfortunately, the car park can be used by people visiting surrounding buildings who have no connection with the mosque. Registering vehicles helps ensure that those using our limited parking spaces are genuinely visiting or engaging with the mosque.

Please Remember

Staying 15 minutes or less?
You do not need to register your vehicle.

Staying longer than 15 minutes?
You MUST enter your vehicle registration number into the terminal.

Staying longer than one hour?
Register your vehicle again during the following hour to extend your permit.

Attending Jummah between 12:30pm and 2:30pm?
The mosque car park is for registered Jummah permit holders only.
